The French cosmetics market is projected to grow at a rate of over 7% in the next 5 years to 2024* and is generally considered the Western capital of cosmetics. Until this point, Oat Cosmetics has been managing the territory from its UK office whilst looking for an exceptional distribution company with an in-depth knowledge of the French market and a passion for natural and sustainable ingredients.
The search has been completed and Oat Cosmetics is delighted to announce Unipex as its new distributor in France. Unipex will distribute Oat Cosmetics’ full portfolio of Ecocert and COSMOS approved natural and certified organic oat ingredients; Oat COM, an advanced colloidal oatmeal, also available as part of Oat BioBeads, Oat Lipid e, a premium oat oil rich in moisture regulating ceramides, and luxurious texturiser, Oat SILK. Virgin Poppy Seed Oil a natural, sustainable oil rich in sterols and Vitamin E will also be promoted.
Cosmetic Unit Director of Unipex, Valerie Lepoultel commented: “The French market is actively seeking natural ingredients, from well-known and sustainable sources such as oats. Oat Cosmetics has a diverse product portfolio of functional ingredients and oils and we are delighted to be able to bring these to brands and formulators across France.”
When asked about Oat Cosmetics expansion into these territories, Angus Robertson, Head of Sales at Oat Cosmetics commented; “France is the global centre of cosmetics and the huge consumer demand for oat-derived ingredients means that we needed a French distributor with the right connections and a passion for natural and sustainable ingredients, something Unipex demonstrated extensively. I look forward to the start of a long and successful relationship.”
