Sun exposure can break down the proteins and lipids in hair cuticle, leaving the hair dry, brittle, and dull. Our work presents an innovative protocol to demonstrate the damage of the sun (UV light) on the different layers of the hair (cortex, cuticle and hair shaft) and an efficacy not known from oat oil.”
Increase Hair Shine with Oat Oil
52% of participants said Oat Lipid e increased hair shine, compared to the silicone shampoo.
Oat Lipid e flattens the hair cuticles, enhancing shine and smoothing hair. In the assessment, this resulted in an 11% increase in glossiness, after just one application of 0.5% Oat Lipid e. As a nutrient-rich oat oil, Oat Lipid e can be claimed as a natural replacement to synthetic ingredients in haircare products, like silicones.
Oat Lipid e is therefore an ideal ingredient to produce natural, effective haircare products, which cater to the rising demand from consumers.
