We’re only five days away from in-cosmetics Global where thousands of industry executives will be heading to the ExCeL in London to see what’s new in the industry and what will be the up-and-coming beauty trends to look out for. It will be our sixth year exhibiting at the show and we’re as excited as ever. As the five-day countdown begins for #incos17, each day we will be showcasing one of our five key ingredients and highlighting their beauty benefits.
Countdown to in-cosmetics Global: Day #5 Virgin Poppy Seed Oil
To start off the countdown we are looking at the Virgin Poppy Seed Oil (Papaver Somniferum) recently released as a part of our Bassett Botanicals ingredient range. Virgin Poppy Seed Oil is well known for its high levels of Vitamin E and its fatty acid and mineral content. Because of its moisturising properties, this oil can be added to hair and skin care formulas to increase softening and conditioning. Its emollient properties mean that Virgin Poppy Seed Oil is particularly effective as a hair conditioner as it locks in moisture, improves hair health and provides a non-greasy finish. When used on the skin, this oil helps to restore the natural barriers.
What else is special about Virgin Poppy Seed Oil?
Not only is the Virgin Poppy Seed Oil a moisturising and cost effective ingredient but it is also sustainably sourced! Sourced locally from a farm in Hampshire, the poppies are grown with the environment in mind. Solar panels provide the farm with low carbon energy, fertilising and harvesting systems are optimised to reduce carbon footprint, and field margins are managed to protect indigenous wildlife habitats.
Virgin Poppy Seed Oil is certainly an ingredient that we’re proud to be exhibiting at the show. So if you’re heading to in-cosmetics Global in London from the 4th-6th of April, be sure to come and see us at stand LL01 to ask us any questions!
